I saw the movie, Waking Ned Devine when it came out back in the 90's and loved it. It made me want to go to Ireland, and five years later I did just that. Of course, the joke was on me, since the movie wasn't filmed in Ireland, but on another island located between Great Britain and the island of Ireland. It didn't matter. The music is great. Waking Ned Devine caught me from the get-go, with the opening scene with the lottery and apple tart being my all-time favorite in movie history.
