Posts: 394. Magnum primers are simply more energetic primers. They will cause faster and more complete ignition of powder, spiking pressure higher and earlier and contributing to a slightly higher FPS on average. I generally use whatever primer is recommended for a powder, and titegroup is a standard primer powder.
