GAMEPLAY

Miner Willy can now actually mine, mainly by throwing small exploding grenades at walls which makes holes in them.  Watch out though, as if you create too many holes, the whole thing may come crashing down, trapping you underneath.

The aim is to collect all the flashing objects and then make your way to the exit in the fastest time possible.

Been thinking lately, and not sure how feasible it would be, but have you considered a level editor for community sharing levels?

That's a good idea, but it would take quite a lot of work to create an editor with all the functionality that would be required.  I'll add it to my "maybe" list. :)

Hey Steve. Great game and a brilliant spin on the original. The only feedback I can think of right now would be redefinable keys, including the fire button option (currently mouse button only), and an option to toggle whether Miner Willy fires the way he's facing, or towards the mouse pointer. I personally found the mouse pointer directional firing a little annoying, although I know some probably prefer it that way. Joypad support might be nice too, but not essential for me personally.

Hey Steve, thanks a lot for the feedback, really pleased you enjoyed playing the game. I'll add your suggestions to my list. The only issue I can think of regarding not using the mouse pointer is that some accuracy is required for some levels when shooting, so I'm not sure exactly how that would work?  I plan to add gamepad support soon though, and look out for a new release in a few days.  Cheers!

Good point about the accuracy. I haven't played that far yet, so I imagine that will become apparent.

I've played much further into the game now and I totally see what you mean about the mouse firing. I stand corrected on that one. Thanks for replying.

No problem, thanks for playing.  Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions for the levels.

Great job Stephen!  I can run this on a Linux workstation I have.  Are you considering a Mac version in the future?  Cheers!

Thanks a lot!  Mac version has just been released!

That was quick! Thank you Steve!

Bought. Looking forward to taking it for a spin.

Thanks a lot!  Let me know how you get on, and what's good or could do with changing.
